Since we'd be having dinner at the Pizza Express Jazz Club at 10 PM this evening, we picked up a sandwich and salad to hold us over until then. This Pret A Manger is conveniently located right around the corner from our hotel.
I purchased several different types of electric adapters from Amazon.com included ones for the UK, Europe, and Australia. These DO NOT convert from 220 volts to 110 volts, but all electrical items that I travel with are compatible with any voltage from 110 volts to 240 volts. I also have adapters identical like this for the US that look just like the one in this photo. All of them provide 2 USB outlets and 3 US style outlets.
Influenced by the likes of Hot 8 Brass Band, Funkadelic, Toots and the Maytals and Sly and the Family Stone, frontman and founder Nathan Thomas was inspired to start the band following a road trip from New Orleans to Nashville. Since their debut gig in September 2016, Full Tilt Collective have graced the stage at venues all over London including Rich Mix, The Blues Kitchen and Hootananny Brixton, PizzaExpress Jazz Club, Paper Dress Vintage, and Archspace as well as festivals like Isle of Wight, Small World and Sunrise. After their original plans were scuppered by lockdowns, are excited to be returning to the studio in 2022 to record their fourth EP of original music.
Brass heavy, 11 person party-starters from London, playing an eclectic range of genres including funk, soul, rock, reggae, ska, hip hop and drum and bass.
An ever-growing collective of musicians, any one lineup features lead vocals, guitar, two backing vocalists, two trumpets, two trombones, baritone sax, tenor/alto sax, drums and sousaphone. With members of the Collective including graduates of Guildhall and Trinity Colleges of music, much of the band has a background in jazz music, resulting in bombastic solos to complement their heady riffs and raucous live show.
